Managing Director – Major Automotive Group – Switzerland

Scenario

Our client is one of the key players in the automotive sector in Europe.  The Group distributes Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti, SEAT, Skoda, Scania, Krone and Meiller. As a result of the close collaboration with the VW Group, the company opened a large Porsche Dealer Centre in Lausanne and required a managing director to lead these new operations.
 
The client required a highly confidential and pan-European approach with fully dedicated consultants demonstrating an outstanding knowledge of the market at executive level, offering visibility and providing key insights. Efficient delivery (maximum one month between the start of the assignment and the presentation of the candidates) and effective support on the preparation and negotiation of the employment offer were mandatory.

Solution

In order to attract potential candidates and gain their interest for such an opportunity, Page Executive gained a solid understanding of the role, its context and the potential development of the project. We had an up-to-date picture of the talent available, their skills and how to approach them. Once we had identified potential candidates, we undertook a rigorous screening process. The team working on the assignment was fully briefed on the client's requirements and filtered out any candidates not matching the required profile.

Page Executive consultants conduct in-depth competency-based and behavioural interviews to assess the experience and competences of candidates against the job's requirements as well as their peers, meanwhile also considering their cultural fit. Throughout the entire selection process we provided the client with timely feedback.

Outcome

The contract between our client and Page Executive was signed at the end of June. The client met with candidates at the end of July/beginning of August. We provided professional references for the chosen candidate end of August. The final offer was made mid-September and subsequently accepted by the candidate. The candidate started with the business as Managing Director on November 1st.
