Country Manager - Financial Services Company – Argentina

Scenario

A financial research provider for the financial sector (including banks, insurance companies and hedge funds) were seeking a Country Manager for their Argentinean operations. The key requirements were a strong knowledge of the markets, combined with a proven management track record. The mix of skills sought was difficult as financial services businesses in the country tend to employ individuals with a depth of market knowledge OR defined management skills – not a combination of the two.

The organisation required a recruitment partner with the ability to identify individuals who matched this profile. A strong knowledge of the local financial sector in addition to having an international footprint were prerequisites. Page Executive offered both perspectives and commenced the search for the Argentinean Country Manager.


Solution

Page Executive proposed a multipronged approach to the search process; we would network within our local and international contacts, in addition to managing a talent attraction campaign through various media channels. Our vetting process included careful attention to all of the organisation’s requirements to ensure we identified only candidates with the relevant track record.

We presented an initial shortlist of five CVs to our client within two weeks and two additional candidates were included in the process a couple of weeks later. The whole shortlist was interviewed, and two candidates were progressed to the final stage.
