Scenario

Page Executive was retained to conduct a search for a Brand General Manager position for a major player in the cosmetics sector.

Because the ideal candidate could come from Belgium or the Netherlands we decided, to maximise our chances to succeed quickly, to work closely with our Dutch business in order to offer our client a local and dedicated solution.

Solution

The assignment was led on both sides with two different shortlists presented to the customer. Consultants in each country were briefed by the client to quickly understand the company culture and the main criteria in order to select the best candidates in each country.

Both consultants were able to contact the client, advise him and give him feedback on the selected candidates in order to help him to make the best choice.

Outcome

As a result, 10 candidates (seven in Belgium and three in the Netherlands) were presented after a month. We were able to schedule each interview and to discuss each profile after a first contact with the managing director and the HR department. The decision was difficult as most of the candidates were a potential good match with the job specification.

At the end of the second month, an offer was accepted by the selected candidate. They were headhunted from another country from a competitor and were interested in relocating to Belgium for personal reasons. Page Executive succeeded to place, in two months, a search that a local competitor had been working on for more than six months.
